Our Town by Thornton Wilder

Our Town which is directed by Kate Gorman, produced by Tim Sullivan and presented by Savio(u)r Theatre Company, runs from 6th to 18th July 2010 at Camden People’s Theatre.

Perhaps the classic American play, Thornton Wilder’s intimate epic following a generation of villagers in a small New England town–through their daily lives, loves and marriages, and deaths–is as famous for its initial portrayal of turn-of-the-century America as the subsequent reactions to its theatricality and timeless themes. In Savio(u)r Theatre Company’s accent-blind and music-infused production, the streets of tiny Grover’s Corners stretch globally to suggest the true universality of “Our Town”.

Dedicated to uniting British and American artists through theatre, Savio(u)r Theatre Company is pleased to be producing this quintessentially American play as part of its inaugural season, following “A Doll’s House Revisited” at the Etcetera Theatre, “Crave” by Sarah Kane at Camden People’s Theatre, and “Twelfth Night” at the Courtyard Theatre.

Cast includes: Anthony Acosta, Nick Bosanko, Katie Castles, Thomas Christian, Paul Holloway, Daniel Lane, Amy O’Dwyer, Lydia Outhwaite, Georgina Ridealgh, Marita Rose, Zoë Swenson-Graham, and Michael Totton.
